Hello, I was looking at the 2012 Supp. Application and the VIPER dual degree program combines the CAS with the engineering school. However, the VIPER program is all about energy research and what I would like to do is biomedical engineering. Is studying energy research the only way to get a dual degree in this case?

Thanks!

You can always pursue dual degrees on your own, without a formalized dual-degree program:

[The College of Arts and Sciences - Dual Degrees](http://www.college.upenn.edu/degree/dual.php)

[Penn Engineering - Dual Degrees and Special Programs](Dual Degrees and Special Programs)

Many Penn undergrads do this, although fulfilling requirements may be a bit more burdensome without the coordination provided by the “official” dual-degree programs.
