I'm thinking of applying to SEAS and then applying for dual degree status to wharton at the end of the first year
The website says that a min gpa of 3.4 is needed
how hard is it to attain a min gpa of 3.4 in SEAS?

you need a 3.4 to be allowed to apply

but realistically, you won't be accepted with less than a 3.8

wow, so is a 3.8 realistic?

If you work pretty hard, yes, since freshman classes are easier, but realistically, it's easier to get into M&T straight from high school.

Eh I disagree with that one.

Other than GPA, do all the usual factors apply in the request for a dual degree (e.g. ECs and whatnot)? Do they go back to your high school career or only take into account what you did freshman year?

it's only gpa and nothing else.

Wow...then, despite what people may say, I would argue that it's easier to get into a dual-degree program once in at UPenn :). What's the GPA requirement for a dual-degree with CAS? Say, an engineering degree paired with econ?
