Dual Degrees at BU or BA at NYU?

Hi!

I am currently a sophomore at Boston University pursuing dual degrees in Business Administration from the School of Management(SMG/B.BA) with a concentration in finance and in Economics from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS/BA). I am expected to graduate in the usual 4 years.

However, I was accepted into NYU as a transfer student today. If I choose to transfer, I would only be able to pursue a B.A in Economics from CAS. A lot of my SMG credits will transfer as "elective" credits.

I was wondering what CC thought was a better choice. Staying at BU or transferring NYU? I would be perfectly happy with staying at BU, but I am also concerned about how this will affect my future as NYU is a better school.

Would a BA in economics from NYU CAS be better than both a Bachelors in Business Administration from BU SMG AND a B.A. in economics from BU CAS? I know NYU is the higher ranked school, but will one NYU degree help me more career-wise than 2 BU degrees? Is NYU that much better?

Thank you for the time and advice! I greatly appreciate it!

my daughter was going to go to SUNY Binghamton, after turning down acceptances from BU, Northeastern and Brandeis. Today she was admitted to NYU off the wait list. What do you think is her best choice as you have finished 2 years of college. She is into math and science but she is not really committed to a career path yet. We went to visit Boston on the Thursday night and Friday during the chase of the bombers, and we did not get to see the schools as they were shut down. She then chose Binghamton which is a good deal financially, but NYU is better. How much better is NYU ?
