Dual Doctorate in Mathematics and Physics?

I’ve talked to a lot of professors about their grad school experiences. All of them said it was tough. You have to take into account that grad school is WAY different than undergraduate. It may be common to get dual degrees for Bachelor’s but I have yet to see someone who has double PhD. One PhD, at least in the hard sciences, will take and average of 5 years (if you’re fast and dedicated).
PhD isn’t cake walk. What you have to do is, contribute new knowledge in your desired field and it will be reviewed by people who are experts in that field.
