Dual Enrollment at UCSD?

<p>So I have a question for a friend,</p>

<p>Today he told me that UCSD had offered him, if that's the correct terminology, Dual Enrollment, which he was very discouraged about. When I asked him what the program entailed, he told me that he was confused about what it was and how he went about it.</p>

<p>A quick google search got me nothing, so I've come to the experts. Is this just a way that he can enroll in a CC and UCSD, like a transfer program? Is it an outright rejection?</p>

<p>Is it, in effect, the end of the world?</p>

<p>I thought dual enrollment is something a person elects to do and not something they’re… err… “admitted?” to do. As far as I know, it just enrolling in two schools at once (most popular a CC with either HS or U).</p>

<p>But it sounds really weird. Have him show you the actual letter stating this information.</p>
