omg... it's not like your thread will disappear after less than half an hour...

UF doesnt care about your writing score, so break down that 1800.... their middle 50 was 1160-1360.... it's good to get that weighted GPA over 4.0.... since you're in fl... do you qualify for *florida academic scholars/i?

no :(. I qualify as a 75%. my SAT is 1200 M+V

4 things I have going for me: (the most important)
1) AA degree before out of high school.
2) Eagle scout
3) Legacy
4) In-state

Will i get in? Also sorry for bumping so fast.

hmmm. I am not sure if you will even get into Purdue.

Purdue is a match for you at best. Forget money.

Why are you applying to IU if you want to go into Engineering?

because its a safety.

Chances, Because you have an AA from a Florida CC you should try to apply as a transfer student. This website may help you.

<a href="http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/trqualifying.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/trqualifying.html</a></p>

Here is UF's FTIC 2006 Profile.

Middle 50% of the Class

High School GPA of 3.9 - 4.4
SAT of 1220 - 1390
ACT of 26 - 31

<a href="http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frprofile.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frprofile.html</a></p>

eek. The freshman are more qulified than I. But nontheless, im going to apply as a transfer. I think ill get in. Not trying to show off but its just that I have a lot of stuff going for me. (not for college in general but just the whole in-state and legacy thing.)

I called one of my friends in admissions and this is what they told me:

General transfer Admissions into UF it will require:

1) COMPLETE A.A. DEGREE
2) Pass the CLAST or get exempt from it
3) Fulfill the GORDON RULE Requirements
4) COMPLETE ADMISSION FOREIGN LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT = 2 years in HS

THEN YOU MUST Qualify for your major:

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING:
REQUIRED TRANSFER ADMISSION CRITERIA
2.5 GPA overall

GRADE OF C OR BETTER REQUIRED WITHIN TWO ATTEMPTS

CHEMISTRY 1 & EITHER CHEMISTRY 2 OR PRINC. OF BIOLOGY I
     NEEDS: 6.00 HOURS
   -> NOT FROM: CHM#040, BSC####L, CHM####L, CHM2047
   SELECT FROM: CHM0201 , CHM#04#, CHM#05#, BSC#010
  • 2) CALCULUS 1,2 AND 3 NEEDS: 12.00 HOURS SELECT FROM: MAA0201 , MAC0201 , MAC2512 , MAC#311 MAC#312, MAC#313, MAC3512 , MAC3472 , MAC3473 , MAC3474
  • 3) DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS NEEDS: 3.00 HOURS 1 COURSE SELECT FROM: MAP#302
  • 4) PHYSICS 1 & 2 WITH CALCULUS NEEDS: 6.00 HOURS

(For History all you need is a 2.8 GPA, and 6 hours of History)

If you don't have all the pre recs to get into UF, then I would suggest that you do one semester at your local CC and fulfill whatever you need to get admitted into your major. Keep in mind that when you do transfer you will have 60 credit hours because of your AA. Personally I would suggest that you go to Santa Fe, so that you can get in integrated into the UF community. Also Keep in mind that you can transfer into a major, and then you can switch to another.

Hope this helps.

Yes, but don't apply to a school just because you can get in. Make sure it's right for you.

anecdotaly... omg, i so prolly spelt that wrong, but w/e... i say you got a shot... just bring that SAT up to that magic number of 1270 ...just outta curiosity, what county? im from palm beach myself... whoot whoot... 5-6-Ace :)

breavard county.

bump.................
