I'm in 10th gr. and I am concerned because I am about to take a dual enrollment Pre-Cal course. I'm wondering if anybody knows whether or not my grade at the end of the year for that course will be calculated in my GPA when i go to college since, after all, it is a college course? First day of class my teacher intimated us saying that only a few people in her class end up with A's and B's, so i just don't wanna mess up my college GPA before even actually going to college, kind of how I unknowingly messed up my high school GPA by taking Honors courses in middle school..

Odds are it won’t be part of your college GPA. Most schools will just label it “CR” for “credit received” or something like that, and only evaluate the grades you earned in their actual college.

Thank you!

I thought you have to be at least a junior to take dual enrollment courses? I asked my counselor about taking dual enrollment courses but they didn’t let me because I’m not a junior yet.
