Dual Enrollment difficulty?

I'm taking one dual enrollment course this semester beginning on September 3rd through my local community college - its called Principles of Sociology (Sociology 101). I've always had humanities be my strong suit and I figured that any "101" class would be a cake walk, but I've read pretty conflicting things on the internet.

My class meets once a week for three hours, which I thought would be more manageable than having it meet three times a week for one hour.

My question is, would basic Sociology be very writing/reading intensive, seeing as it is an introductory course but it is still part of the humanities? I'm taking a few APs next year, including Lit, which is very writing and reading intensive, along with tons of college applications and other things that will consume my time pretty drastically.

Yes, I would think so, but I can’t imagine it being all that difficult. Where are you reading that it is? (Keep in mind that the people complaining are community college students…it’s likely that some of them also had trouble with high school classes you found easy.)
