Sign ups for dual enrollment in the summer are open now and I wanted to know if I should take human development to show interest into my major for human ecology: human development major. I’m taking Anatomy and Physiology 2 w/Lab along with it. Will it look good to take this specific class or will it just look cliche and tacky? Thanks!
In my opinion it would be better to do something active like volunteer or intern or work in the field, if you can.
@lisaol I am volunteering at my hopsital, as I have been for 1 year now(200+hours) and I will continue over the summer. I also have gotten an internship at a caner research lab but I also wanted to take another dual enrollment class.
Thats great!! My daughter was just accepted to human ecology. Good luck to you!
@lisaol Awesome! Do you recommend I take the class or would it look cliche?
If it is something you have time for and enjoy, then go for it.
Update- I’m taking human development and Death/Dying(another developmental course). Hopefully they look at my courses and see some interest towards the school.
Do what you love–not what looks good on an application.
Human Ecology can easily tell the people who genuinely have a passion for something and those who do it just for the sake of filling out another line in the common app. If Human Development was not a major at Human Ecology, would you still take the class? I understand you are trying to build fit, which by no means is wrong. During my college application process, my philosophy was different. I found fit after doing things I was passionate about.
Yeah I’d probably still take them. They seem like legitimately interesting courses but i see what you mean.
