Hi guys! I have a question about the dual enrollment thing. I’m currently taking an independent study course that counts as my high school graduation requirement. The course is an online course from UC Berkeley. The grading systems in my high school and in UCB are different (my high school has a more lenient one). My high school counselor says that I have the right to not send my UCB official transcripts to colleges, but just send my high school transcript which has the “more lenient” final grade for the course. However, I wonder if this is true since a lot of stuffs I read tell me that I have to also send an official transcript directly from UCB.
You should be fine just reporting the dual enrollment grade on your high school transcript. If it weren’t a dual enrollment but rather a regular college course, then you would need to send those college transcripts in.
Check the application instructions of each college that you apply to in order to see if it wants your college transcript or grade from any dual enrollment course (and how to handle it if your college grade and high school grade for the same course differ).
^ This.
ok I’ll do it.
