Dual Enrollment Transcripts

What exactly is the policy for dual enrollment transcripts for admissions? I've taken a total of two classes at two different community colleges, both of which appear on my high school transcript, and I want to know if I really need to get transcripts for my applications. I read somewhere that MIT doesn't require them, but most colleges ask for "all college courses taken," and don't really address dual enrollment.

Thanks.

There is no hard and fast rule. You do indeed have to ask each college and university that you apply to about what they want you to do. Some will require official copies of the transcripts that are issued by the community college. Some won’t.

Assuming it is not a prohibitive expense, why not just send 'em?

Mainly because I don’t have them yet, and one of the colleges is over an hour away from home (I took the course online).

You shouldn’t have to go to the college in person to get the transcript. You probably can request them online or by mail and pay with a check or a credit card. Just call the CCs and ask how it’s done.

Good luck!
