Dual Enrollment!!?

I am currently a sophomore and this summer I am applying at a semi-local University to take Contemporary Psychology and Chemistry 2. I am very science focused. Next summer if all goes according to plan I will probably take a higher level Psychology class and the next Chemistry course. I am taking the Psy class because no psychology is offered in my school and it is extremely interesting to me. Chemistry is because that is my favorite subject and I want to advance my learning (maybe opening up some research opportunities).

My questions is: Will taking these classes and doing well in them show universities that I am hard-working and dedicated to a subject I enjoy, basically will it look good on college apps?

Thank you very much for your time!

Yes it will. College chemistry classes (especially over summer) are a lot harder than what you’d get in a high school, and it shows that you are passionate about the subject and want to learn about it. Plus, you may get college credit for it.

Thanks, for next year would the more advanced courses (such as the higher up level 200-300 psych classes) look better than an internship?
