So I want to dual major in ECE and economics at Umich but I'm not sure how to indicate this on my application (yes i haven't applied yet and yes i know its very late). Also, is it even possible to dual major in these fields at the University of Michigan?

ECE and Economics is definitely possible, but you will have to manage your time very efficiently and take a heavy load to graduate in 4 years, assuming you do not receive many AP credits. If you come in with AP Calc BC and place out of Math 116, AP Chem and AP Physics C, you should be able to finish in 4 years without too much of a struggle. Although I do not know any students who doubled in ECE and Econ, I know a few who double majored in ChemE pr MechE and Econ, and they finished in 4 years.

Quick warning, that link that Kurtlin posted is apparently wrong. In addition to what is listed on that link there is a slew of other requirements.

Yes it is possible to do it, but LSA is really difficult about it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Ill be coming in with credit for Calc BC Physics-C Chem US Government and politics both micro and macro economics and about 3 credits from UMD from a program i did this past summer. I think that comes out to about 25-30 credits. Will that make it easier to do this?

You can come up with a schedule and see. You will need to complete all LSA requirements and all CoE requirements, despite what that link says.

you’ll be fine. just make sure the classes you take count towards your degree requirements.
