<p>I've been thinking about what to major in and have decided the best route is to dual major. Am I right with this? I plan to major in psychology as well as critical studies, which technically would go hand in hand with psych since it is a form of critical thinking. Any suggestions on what colleges would be best for this?</p>
<p>Well, it’s debatable whether critical studies involve critical thinking. At the very least, psychology aspires to adhere to scientific methodology and critical studies does not. Nonetheless, try these programs. I believe they cover various aspects of “critical studies” as I understand that term:</p>

<p>The first four schools above all have strong psychology departments, too.</p>
<p>At most schools, courses relevant to critical studies will be scattered across a number of departments, e.g. English, Comparative Literature, Communication/Rhetoric/Media Studies, Gender Studies, etc. You also might consider a major in German, which will allow you to approach many source materials in the original. Many German depts. also offer tracks in cultural studies that might accommodate some of your interests.</p>
