I lived in Canada for 2 years (4th-6th grade) when I was younger and obtained Canadian citizenship. I was born in America and lived here besides those 2 years. I attended high school here. I don't consider myself to be a Canadian; I just have citizenship through my father, who's also a dual citizen (he's not Canadian, either. No one in my family is.).
Should I indicate my dual citizenship on the common app or just say I'm an American citizen? I don't want to be perceived as an international student since I simply hold Canadian citizenship and don't identify as Canadian at all.
I know there's a section on the common app where we have to make note of where we've lived for x amount of years, and I did mention my 2 years spent in Canada.
Thanks.

I was born and lived abroad when I was younger. You won’t be an international student. It doesn’t work like that, unless you spend time in High School abroad. Since you went to school here, you’re an american student.
