dude, GWU or UNC

Hey you guys,

I'm a sophomore at East Carolina University who's taken business core classes, with an interest in Engineering and Computer Science.

For Transfer, I've been accepted by George Washington University for spring '05, and have been awarded the Elliot Engineering Scholarship ($12g), however, I am thinking about turning it down and going to UNC Chapel Hill for fall '05.

If I go to UNC, I'll be an in-state resident by the time I enroll, meaning the price will be a fraction of what GWU would cost.

As for areas of study, I have narrowed my options to: Biomedical or Mechnical Engineering, Computer Science and... still Business Finance.

Which school would be better for me?

My father wants me to go to UNC because of the money, but I don't like the country; I'm more urban... thus, I lean towards GWU. Also, one of my best friends goes to GWU.

UNC - 29th; GWU - 52nd [US News, even though this has nothing to do with Eng. rankings]

Let me know what you think.

Mike

UNC is a better overall school, but I'm not sure about engineering. For business, I would lean towards UNC, but I can't comment on the other listed concentrations.

UNC is most def the better school and its cheaper. In all of those areas its a better school without a doubt. Plus, its not really the country, Franklin Street rocks and the party scene is huge. There are also a ton of stores/ malls nearby. I would go there in a minute, you are lucky to be in state. GW isnt in the same league.
