<p>I don't know about how the college will react. My husband did have a college student about 2 years ago whose nice, paid, professional internship offer was rescinded because the company's background check turned up the fact that the student had had a speeding ticket. The company's lawyer or human resources dept. said that employees would have to drive a company car, and it was too risky to allow a relatively young person with a speeding record to do so.</p>
<p>If that's how a speeding ticket was viewed, imagine how a DUI by a minor would be viewed.</p>
