For me it was an easy choice because I have absolutely no interest in engineering.

I think they will send us this link, a pin number and a password:

https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=duke-u

That’s what they did last year, at least.

It was an easy choice for me as well…no engineering interest. If you’re interested in both, then apply to Pratt because it is MUCH easier to transfer from Pratt to Trinity than the other way around.

I struggled with my decision between Pratt and Trinity for a very long time. I knew I wanted to do premed, so my undergrad major really wasn’t that important as long as I fulfilled the premed requirements. After touring the Teer engineering building (which is beautiful by the way) and reading more about BME, I decided to go Pratt. Besides, Duke is ranked number 2 (behind JHU) for BME. I’m not sure about the other engineering majors.

I submitted my Common App for RD on Saturday. How long did it take you guys to get a PIN and stuff? Because I got mine for UVa today, but all Duke sent me was a notification that they have received my application.

^Same. I haven’t received a pin or anything.

I’m dying to know!! I applied ED back in early october. the wait is killing me. Only one other girl from my school applied ED

16 days max!!!

I wonder how the committee readings are going

hopefully they’re going through the applications quickly so they can release the decisions early!

Add on to hgblue:

And all the applicants are amazing so we should just admit them all!!

They emailed me telling me a part of my ED agreement is missing
That means im in!

Seriously though…longest 2 weeks of my life. And i’m probably going to get rejected D:

yeah…hopefully 11 days…max of 16 =/!

I bet i get an acceptance letter but its an accident where Duke accidentally accepts the people it meant to reject in my region or something. D:
If i get accepted i’m honestly going to wonder if it was a mistake or not

Confidence is great!

^^ I feel the same way. I would read it over and over and then email them to double check that yes, they meant me. Confidence is far and gone.

Well odds are against all of us! What is everyone’s most time consuming EC?

Drama club, definitely. President, as well as lead actor for most of, if not all the shows. Makes it hard to keep up with school work when one has practice every day after school.

I own my own business and I’m trying to do as much as possible with that to keep myself distracted for the next few weeks (or days!). Luckily it’s been very busy for me these days, so it’s not too hard to find something else to do to keep my mind off of :gulp: D-Day.

So I see everyone is anxious! Is there anyone that is kind of indifferent toward the wait. Idk why, but I don’t really think about it much at all. I might think about my decision maybe once a day for only seconds. Maybe its just that I’m a longshot/high reach. Duke has always been my dream school and I’d rather my dream stay alive then die within the next 16 days. Anyone else feel kind of indifferent? Maybe its just me lol.

^ I feel the same way (indifferent). In my case it’s because I know I will eventually be accepted to an excellent university anyway. I don’t see rejection from Duke as an end all be all but rather as an opportunity to compete for acceptance at other universities regular decision. Although it would be great to be accepted and done with admissions in December :)
