It wont be the end of the world for me if I dont get in, but I would LOVE to be done with admissions by the 15th…I’m seriously dreading having to do more applications if the early/rolling schools dont work out for me.

It’s not even the actual decision that I’m nervous about, because what happens, happens. It’s the anticipation that’s KILLING me!

Same here. The anticipation is the hardest part! Duke is such a longshot for me. I have been preparing myself for rejection, so if I get in, I will be shocked. It would also be really nice to not have to spend so much time completing my RD apps. Only about 2 weeks left!!!

Anybody else get an email saying they were missing their Early Decision agreement? I sent mine electronically, but I guess something get messed up (probably with my counselor’s end).

Anyways, they said they need it by this Friday, Dec. 3rd. I want to send a hard copy just to be safe, but I don’t think I will have time to mail it there by Friday? Will they accept it if it is just postmarked by Friday do you think?

My most time consuming EC would be swimming a few hours a day after school everyday. Definitely relaxing. ANTICIPATION…yes! Final decision will either make my day or make me realize that there are other fantastic schools that would love to have me, but the anticipation of the decision day is the worst. EVAR

I got this as well, im just going to fax it tomorrow asaply. On the other hand, i never submitted first 9 weeks grades and the didn’t ask for them from me either…weird.

^

Yeah, I just saw you can fax it! Saves me a lot of worry!

The wait is actually excruciating. Although all the schools on my list are good, unfortunately I fell in love with Duke and will be pretty upset if I don’t get in. The anticipation is killing me, and it’s comforting that you’re all going through the same thing.
I keep thinking about this as “accept” or “reject” (in other words, final decision made by December) despite how real of a possibility deferral is.

Yeah I really want to go to Duke for so many reasons on my own, and on top of those reasons, my father and uncle went there and my brother is there now. Crossing my fingerssssss

@Massgirl92, I keep forgetting to consider a “deferred” decision, as well. That would be almost worse than just getting rejected…having to wait again seems like torture.

Yeah, I would rather get rejected now so that I can move on with my life.

I forgot to share my most time comsuming EC. I am on a competitive travel cheerleading squad. Lol I wrote my Common APP essay about cheerleading hoping that I would stand out a little.

Totally random (but again…distracting), but who do you cheer for??

Miami Elite Allstars :)

Ahh, nice
I figured from your username, actually lol. I used to cheer at MD Marlins. I own a bow company, so that’s what I wrote my Common App Essay about.

Bows!!!
That sounds like a unique essay

<15 days!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I hate waiting!!!

The idea that the countdown could enter single digits tomorrow is driving me crazy

Your right tomorrow could be single digits!!! Tomorrow we enter into decision month.

I’m expecting them to announce the decision date within the next week.
