I’m all for a separate decision thread, but it would also probably be helpful to go ahead and post our results on here, as well. I’ve gone through 30+ pages on a countdown thread from a previous year and gotten really curious about the results for those applicants, just to have the thread end with only a few decisions posted. It took me a while to find the official results thread for that year…

alright thanks coIIege, i guess i can help you with the template…but not just yet…i think you should make it after the decision date is decided and announced…lol :P

I don’t think so. I know there are blue devil days, but those are for regular accepted applicants to persuade them to choose Duke. Since ED is binding, I doubt they’d have everyone congregate at Duke.

Was anyone else checking their e-mail constantly today hoping that there would be an e-mail from Duke about when decisions are coming out? 'cause I know I did, almost every single hour XD

I did get an email over a week ago saying my app was complete and that if they needed anything else they’d contact me or my counselor. They haven’t asked for my first quarter grades which makes me wonder if they said “let’s not even bother asking her for her first quarter grades because we are rejecting her”

Does anyone knows if getting promotional materials right now is any sign of ED future rejection or is it just one department does not know what another does?

Guys I’m pretty sure they didn’t ask for 1st quarter grades because they already have them. Especially since it is a required part of your application I think they probably have them. I would suggest checking the application tracking website and check with your guidance counselor to see if they handed them in. 'cause I handed mine in before thanksgiving break which started on the 22nd for me and the app tracking website just started showing that that section was complete.

Is it a good sign if they asked me to submit my Early Decision Agreement, which never made it there in the first place? Or do they just ask everybody that?

Either way, I started to freak out. The email I got said “In reviewing your application…”, which means they’ve read it! Ahh!

I would seriously doubt that they just “wouldn’t bother” to ask for your first quarter grades if they already knew you weren’t getting in. They probably send e-mails out regarding that as they actually review the applications, because they know First Quarter Grades aren’t always available on the 12th. I wouldn’t be worried if I were you…

Why on earth would Duke send anyone who is an ED applicant promotional materials? Duke is their first choice and they have already committed to it…

I am of the opinion that everyone on the lookout for good/bad signs needs to take a deep breath and just relax. Duke isn’t playing head games with us; we’re doing that to ourselves.

I’m pretty sure that they aren’t done with reading apps yet, or at least debating them in committee. I have a feeling that once everything is final, we’ll receive the email giving us our pin numbers and date of when and where to find our decision
