<p>Umm if you think you’re always on here go check out the Stanford early applicants thread, they have a crazy number of posts :O</p>
<p>Anybody else imagined what they’ll do immediately after seeing the decision - for “you just got accepted” and “you just got rejected”? I was really reallly bored in history yesterday so I made two lists: one of favorite restaurants to pick from for a possible “celebratory dinner”, and one of ben&Jerry’s ice cream flavors for when I get bad news!</p>
<p>I dunno I’m feeling solid on expecting rejection or deferral. No matter what other parts of my app are good, my GPA has tanked…</p>
<p>The realization spurred a sense of urgency as I reviewed my college list. Frantically searching for more schools but my list has been well-structured since the start sigh.</p>
<p>Yeah, the amount of time I spend on this thread has been increasing exponentially since December started. </p>
<p>Also, I have purposefully not made plans for after I get my decision. I don’t want to make bad news plans and would hate having to cancel good news plans. Whatever happens is going to be completely spontaneous, and may or may not involve confetti.</p>
<p>I fully expect to not get in, so anything better than that will be a pleasant surprise.</p>
<p>LOL @ the Stanford thread though. They’re just making small talk…about Panera…and Black Ops. I won’t lie, I read a few pages.</p>
<p>Story time! My friend and I decided that, either way, we’re going to want cake, either for celebrating or cheering up, but it would be hard to get a cake to have on hand for either occasion. Eventually we decided it would be “best” to have the cake say “(Congrats/Too Bad) to you!” and just circle one in icing once we find out.</p>

<p>I wish I had someone in “real life” to talk to about my ED craziness!! There is only one other student I know pretty well that applied ED somewhere tough. He applied Stanford, but he’s not even freakin’ nervous. I guarantee he is not on that Stanford thread…</p>
<p>There is one other girl at my school who did Duke ED, but we’re not very close so that’s not an option. You all are saving my life!</p>

<p>@hl0523…yeah i have a friend at school who also applied ED to Duke, so we talk about decision day all the time and “what ifs”</p>
<p>So I went back and looked through some old Duke ED countdown threads to check on their decision days. The second Thursday of the month thing holds true for the past two years, but it looks like the class of 2012 found out on the 10th, which was a Monday.

<p>i have actually memorized the duke videos. memorized. the wait is so bad. can they just tell us already? and yeah im wondering why have we not gotten the email about when the decisions will come?</p>

<p>As for what I will do if I get in…well I’ll celebrate for a little while by…doing a little dance, then greatly lessen my studying for midterms, and play world of warcraft:cataclysm a greatly greater amount. </p>
<p>if I don’t get in. I will mope around for a day, then spend the next week studying as hard as I can for midterms, and then the next two weeks applying to my 10 backup schools while stuffing my misery with bags of reeses cups. </p>

<p>Brown and Penn announced their ED release dates. Why can’t Duke? Just because it’s not Ivy League doesn’t mean it’s not just as cool.

<p>I got into a different school today, but instead of being happy all I thought about was Duke. This school really has me wrapped around their finger.</p>

<p>@bella 217, I called and they said in 2 weeks. but i think they are just saying that because the tentative date is Nov 15th. But, I highly doubt they will release it on that day. My prediction is either the 9th or 11th (i hope the 9th…)
