Duke 2015 ED applicants

Probably like 27%

Yeah my guess was that the E.D. yield will probably be around 27-28%

just had my interview!

Good luck to all you ED applicants!

I had my interview on tuesday as well

I have my interview tonight. So nervous!

My interview was SO chill! It was a great way for Duke to know me better as a person, and for me to Duke a bit more.
Do interviews count for much?

i have a C in physics and a B+ in AP lit would that hurt me?

^ Im not all too sure about how seriously they consider first quarter grades, but it certainly wont help.

bluedawn: That kind of stuff can get you deferred tbh. The school might wanna wait and see if you get those grades up by the end of the semester before considering you for acceptance.

What’s your overall GPA and SAT score?

Interview went well. It didn’t feel like an interview but more like a conversation. 34 days left untill ED decisions come out!

Also the full screen version.

I’m nervous about my first quarter grades…I have:

AP Physics - B
Calculus 3 - B
Discrete Math (this one’s at a 4 year college) - A

Not thinking those grades are exactly going to help  Do you think my courses are difficult enough for it to be somewhat "acceptable:?

No. Unless you royally mess up or are the most impressive applicant the interviewer has ever spoken with, the interview does not typically make or break an application. That’s not to say it’s inconsequential, though. It’s definitely considered as a way for the admissions staff to get another perspective of you, and also for you to also learn more about the university. The interview does give you a rating, but it’s the description about your maturity, communication, and experiences that are more interesting. In the vast majority of cases, the interview won’t make a significant difference one way or the other. Just relax, have a good time, and learn more about the university.

3.9 33 act

I have a C and a B and i’ve been getting pretty much all A’s through out all 4 years.
would that effect me

gpa 3.9
act 33

im applying ED too!
and im having my interview thing on sunday…
suggestions anyone?

honestly…just be yourself. I know my interviewer has been interviewing a half dozen people a year for the past 20 years…so he knows when someone is trying to be fake.

For ED, do they separate the pools of applicants between Pratt and Trinity?
