<p>You’re good as long as it’s postmarked by January 2nd. They’re on break, and they’ll be probably swamped with letters and applications coming in, so don’t worry about it too much. Just get it in ASAP</p>

<p>Maybe you could scan it into a pdf and email it by Sunday. That way it will be both sent and received by the 2nd.</p>
<p>Then mail it, too, if you’re feeling paranoid.</p>
<p>Duke has, in the past, extended deadlines many times, especially when they are either swamped, had technical glitches, or had closely spaced (or back to back) postal holidays. I’d either scan/email, or call them on monday and offer to fax it. Just make sure all documents you send has your full name and social security number on it.</p>
