My application checklist has been updated–it now says my supplement was submitted, so that’s a good sign!
People who had interviews already–can you give us more specifics about your interviews? ie questions, conversation topics, etc.

I have a question about the first quarter grades. How do they know that the report actually came from the guidance counselor. There’s no place for a signature or anything. My counselor is reluctant to submit the actual form because of that. What did your counselors do?

My counselor refused to fill out the form, saying “in all our years of doing this [college application reports] we’ve never had to fill out something like this.” Instead, she’s attaching the transcript and writing, “please see attached”. Our transcript doesn’t include quarter grades. -_-
I’m going to see if I can get her to attach a photocopied version of my report card instead.
Hilary11, I suggest you tell your counselor to go ahead and fill it out and send it. Then, if Duke decides something is suspicious (which I doubt), they can call her, right? The lack of signature probably means they will trust whatever is written there/assume you had the integrity to not make up grades you didn’t earn. I also second daughter’s question: “People who had interviews already–can you give us more specifics about your interviews? ie questions, conversation topics, etc.”

So, I’m starting to freak a little bit.

I’m going for ED, and I’ve sent everything about two weeks ago, and nothing is showing up. Am I alone in this? Or is something messed up on their end?

yeah, they’ve gotten really backed up by all the ED applications. if you email them and ask about your list, they will update it.

Just email my admissions counselor? Or is there a general email address to send it to?

ok, so for anyone freaking out about interviews: I had mine today and it was really relaxed. We met at b&n, it lasted for about 40 minutes and basically he just looked through my resume, talked about my academic interests, why Duke?, my extracurriculars… and then he showed me this list of questions that Duke gives him to ask and he picked a few. Some of them were like “what would you do on a free day?” or “which room in your house best reflects your personality?” The only one that I had a hard time answering was “if you could go back in time, to which historical period would you go?” I just said that I FOR SURE wouldn’t go to the French Revolution haha. But he was really nice, praised me quite a bit and said he would write a nice recommendation for me and it was a relatively stress-free experience (surprisingly)! Good luck to you all with interviews!

I called Duke and asked them about my list which had nothing updated and they named off everything I had submitted. They also that I should just keep waiting on an interview and that it would come.

wow! now i am kind of excited for my interview :)
