Does, or can, Duke provide any financial assistance for someone really wanting to attend the Blue Devil Days ?

I received an email today stating they are going to provide some aid to students that want to attend the Blue Devil Days – a student and a parent/guardian. However, I don’t know specifics yet until the admission packet comes in the mail.

Just got my letter – $500 each for me and a parent/guardian to attend Blue Devil Days. I’m not sure if that amount would vary from person to person, but it does say that it’s only offered to students receiving a significant amount of financial aid.

Did you apply for financial assistance for blue Devil Days? I was accepted ED, so if that information came with your admission packet, then I have to search for my packet.

What process did to go through to get financial assistance to attendt, BDD? I might have to call them Monday.

I applied for need-based financial aid for the institution itself, but not the Blue Devil Days. According to the letter they sent me, I received it because I was already marked for a large financial aid package – one of the many reasons I am considering Duke as my top choice atm. The letter for this reimbursement came a few days after my acceptance package came, so I think if you were supposed to receive one, you would have gotten it either this week or last week? You should definitely try calling them.

Do you guys know if we have to accept Duke’s offer acceptance before we can register for Blue Devils Day?

No, absolutely not. Blue Devils Day is a chance for the university to sell itself to brilliant accepted students such as yourself who are deciding between other fabulous universities. You’re supposed to decide after experiencing Blue Devil Days.;)
