Going for BME+Anatomy major, BME+Psychology major, Neuroscience+Psychology major, or BME major + Physics minor. Most likely Pratt, but possibly Trinity.
Above average essay, same with recs.

Oh, and I have several engineering projects which I suppose could assist my essays if not direct application, including a server for internet radio/file storage, an HD projector, hydroelectric generator, and other things.

Sat 1090???

Yea, do you mean 1900?

yeah i bet its 1900 .

Haha, sorry, I meant 2090. I dunno why I put a 1.

Bump.

I'm trying to decide whether to do ED on Duke or if it would be a waste.

What's your GPA? I can't really chance you with just the classes you took. GPA on a 4 point scale is preferred.

Says GPA right under "Scores".

Oh, and it's SAT Math 2, not Math 1 that I took.

Bump.

Should I ED at Duke or would it be a waste of a good ED? Help would be appreciated.

Go for it if you're convinced you'll be happy at Duke

I don't know. Is duke a school you really want to go to?

I would say it's a low reach.

I think you certainly have a chance at ED - I have a friend who got in with similar stats. If you want to go there, go for it!

A low reach? I just hope it's low enough.

I would love to go to Duke: campus is nice, have great BME, not too large, and a nice mix of party and academics. Only thing that bothers me is that it's in the south. I prefer the nice cold seasons of the north. Any schools similar to Duke which have cold wet winters?

Cornell, UMich...

God damn, I'm freakin'. MyChances.net gives me a 14% chance of getting into Duke. 14% meaning my shot is 0%.

groan

yeah I have a profile on that site, too. Look at it this way, all they're basing their judgments on is like the 50 or so kids with profiles on that site that either got accepted or denied, and their corresponding stats.

That site cannot judge your ECs or your recs or your essays! Even the stats will be a little wacko because the pool is not that big.
