I am the, get a’s but with the minimum effort required. i look great on paper, but my teacher rec’s and other **** like that will screw me over in the end i think. i probably do homework for 30 min a night. i also smoke a lot and chill with my friends often</p>

<p>I’ll go skipping across the lawn with you Philo. I’ll be your total nerd pal. I’ve never smoked nor had a drink in my life. My favorite book is by an 18th century economist. When asked what I would do if I was given $50,000 and a free year to do whatever I wanted with (other than go to college), I decided my best idea would be to build a research lab and test stuff “for fun.”</p>

<p>While I do not consider myself a nerd, and I do take part in that great high school stuff (sex/drugs/alcohol, namely sex lol), I think that every applicant to duke with a legitimate shot must have some hint of nerd in him/her, myself included of course. I for one am a music nerd without a doubt.</p>

<p>I’m sort of a nerd. I do well in school, obvs, but I’m more of the work hard/play hard type. And I do martial arts. That’s kind of un-nerdy, isn’t it?</p>
<p>Of course, I also genuinely enjoy poetry. So maybe I am a nerd.</p>

<p>I LOVE plants and biology. This sounds very weird, but I enjoyed staying up until 2 am in the morning just soaking in my AP Bio textbook. </p>
<p>Other than that, I’m not much of a nerd. But I’m not a partier, either. My definition of fun is hanging out with a small group of friends watching movies, playing games, etc.</p>
