Why the “:/” face?

My daughter did RD and she got the email on notification too.

my5luvs, I applied RD and also DID NOT get the email about notification. I checked and they do have my correct email, I have received other correspondance and it is NOT in my spam folder. Anyone else apply RD and not receive email or have any idea if this should concern me?

^ I really dont think it means anything and you shouldnt worry. In a pool of like 30,000 applicants, there are bound to be a few emails that dont go through

^Thanks, I agree with and appreciate that, just feeling nervous about not knowing how to access decisions when they do come out! Can anyone tell me what the email said?

This was the main part of it:
" I want to let you know that Regular Decisionapplicantsto Duke University(and Early Decision applicants whose admission decision were deferred to Regular Decision)may view their admissions decisions online beginning 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013.*Financial Aid decisions will also be available online for those whose applications were complete.

Since we deliver our decision letters to applicants, we expect only the applicant will be checking his or her decision online. When you decide to check your decision online, we strongly encourage you to do so in the privacy of your own residence, not at school. We believe your decision is a private matter, and for many reasons we have found it is best for applicants to be away from friends and classmates when they check their decisions.*

You can view your admission decision letter upon logging in to your application checklist. If you previously activated your account, you will log in here:*https://applicants.siss.duke.edu."

Called Admissions and they said the email was sent to all applicants, including me. Verified email address, which was correct. I have received other emails from Duke. Checked spam filter and it’s not there. Admissions was very helpful and told me the info in the email. Weird that I never received it.

Thanks Leighhopeful! Best of luck to you and everyone else here-

I already inquired about this in another thread, but what do you guys think about a 2210 SAT, 760 CR/650 M/800 W/11 essay?

That math score will be the death of me. On the first round of SAT’s I scored a 2030, 680 CR/650 M/700 W/8 essay, so the increase was significant. BUT THE DAMN MATH SCORE STAYED EXACTLY THE SAME.

How’s it looking for me? Not good? I’m somewhat under the 25th percentile score of 680…

DAMN!!! I would have gotten invited to LSRW. Well that means i didnt get into to Duke.

If im a latino applicant and if i didnt get this email does that mean im just queuing up for a rejection letter. Im dreading this Wednesday just to read that i didnt get in

Why I can’t I login to Duke, How will I check my decisions.

Whenever I try to log in, I receive the following error message:

^Just wait for a minute and go to the website again. It crashed before but worked after a while for me.

Only a few more days…

Hm… So, I wonder what will happen when we log in to our accounts on Wednesday. I mean, will the letter just pop out as soon as we log in ? All this waiting has made me think about such trivial issues. Anyway, we are almost there!

@cybermonkey2013 did you recieve it through email or regular mail?
