lol sucks that so many people were accepted ED

I totally regret not applying ED now haha
Especially since my stats were low to begin with

Under ten percent. That’s a milestone. But the EDers will offset it. Not let a true sub 10 percent accept rate overall.

Would it be a bad idea to check my decision from my phone at 6? Or will the site crash? I won’t be home/near a computer until 9 and really don’t want the anxiety of waiting…

A few more hours left! Yikes below 10%. Good luck everyone. I am prepared for the worst but still have hope for the best

Can somebody post the link to the decision thread if one has been created?

Article a little inaccurate. There were 31,785 total applicants and 29,245 RD applicants. That puts RD acceptance rate right at 9.9% because of offers from the ED deferred pool and a total acceptance rate around 11.5%. Given Duke is a more self selecting school in terms of quality of applicants (e.g. Harvard has more no chance applicants that apply just to say they applied to Harvard) scary numbers.

Always wanted to do this. ^_^

tennisforall - I feel like Duke must also have a lot of no-chance applicants as well. They may have a “dream school” complex, be huge basketball fans, live in NC, etc.

Philovitist - Thanks!

Expecting a rejection tonight from Duke, but got into Vandy! Couldn’t ask for a better day

If I was invited to the black student alliance invitational, is it safe to assume that I’m in? I’m getting less certain as time passes. The last thing I want is a rejection after already booking my flight. Ha

@supremehapa I’m waiting for vandy too :(( where do you live?

I applied ED for Duke and was deferred. I keep telling myself it is not my first choice so that when they reject me I am prepared. University of Richmond just accepted me and I love them so I will be happy… I guess…

I’m willing to bet money that I’m going to be rejected… I only applied in the first place because even a rejection is better than wondering what if.

Overall acceptance rate 11.6%

(2929+753)/31785

Good luck everyone! I am extremely doubtful I’ll get in, as I wasn’t even offered an interview and two students in my school got one. Thankfully I’m in at UChicago so I’ll still have a great school to go to! But regardless of what happens I wish you guys luck and am sure you will all end up happy!
