@ashik1 @matrixsurgeon Make that three

Hi guys, just saying, I was lifted off the wait list on April 29. I’m from NC, and I got to personally speak with my admissions officer at the State Math Contest (it helped that I did well in the competition). I’ll be studying economics in trinity next year. PM me if you have any questions

@ashik1 @matrixsurgeon @noosjuice and four

@Winniez Has your admissions officer responded to your emails?

No @noosjuice

Your guess was right; only US students are being lifted off the wait list.

There isn’t any data about how many international students they usually pull of the waitlist, is there?

@ashik1 How do you know for sure?

@SaoirseBefri I don’t think there is any.

@ashik1
Yea, how did you come across this information?

I was reading the full thread and it seems only US students were pulled off. Anyway, let’s hope for the best guys ! Some of the students pulled off will reject their offer ! Be positive ! lol

I’m assuming that since no one has been offered yet, the admissions officers COULD still be reviewing international files, or files of US citizens living abroad.

@ashik1 I don’t think that a collegeconfidential thread is a reliable source of info. Moreover, I believe only a tiny percent of those accepted post comments here.

True !

Hi all, I’m a US student who was lifted off the waitlist a week-ish ago. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to accept the offer due to an array of factors I notified the admit officer a couple days ago. Just a note-My admit officer never responded to my emails but preferred to call and speak to me.

Students often ask what they can do to help their chances of admission from the waiting list. Our waiting list procedures are explained in the “Frequently Asked Questions” link above. I realize that since we do not review our waiting list until May you will likely need to enroll at another institution even as you remain on our waiting list. I regret that this is the case, and I hope you understand how the timing of this process makes that unavoidable. We expect to conclude all waiting list activity by late June. If we are not able to offer you admission, we will let you know by then.

Are more students getting off the trinity wait list this year than the Pratt one?

Has anyone of you heard from the AO?

@ashik1 I do know that they pulled some international students off the list on April 30, so indeed they are considering international students.

@ashik1 I’m not sure whether it’s good news or not since I’m an international student myself. Hope for the best.

@ashik1
I heard back from AO (I submitted additional info) several days ago… No definitive information was gained from reading it though. It was very vague and simply just saying “we are continuing to evaluate candidates for spots in the class of 2018, thanks for your info” kind of thing…
