Hey everyone,

With ED results coming soon, I though I'd make a discussion thread. Feel free to discuss anything duke or non duke related, hehe.

Good luck everyone :D

Good luck everyone :D

I’m nervous and also very impatient. One month to go!

The next month is going to be painful for me. But to forget about my impending decision, I’m trying my best to focus on my other early applications, which I am also nervous for.

By the way, my interview is tomorrow! Eek! So nervous! This is my first in-person interview ever.

Good luck on the interview! I don’t think I’ll get one. 2 weeks in and no contact yet.

For decisions, I, too, cannot wait. Wish I could fast forward a few weeks!

In other news, I found out I was accepted to my state flagship so I know I’m going to college.

I don’t think I’ll be contacted for an interview either. I live in a somewhat isolated area.

Congrats! @hagzzz It’s quite a burden off the shoulders to be admitted somewhere.

Thanks @hagzzz!

I have already gotten into two schools, but neither of my options are financially feasible at the moment… Wahhhh.

Hi everyone.

I applied early, and I had my interview on Wednesday. I thought it went very well. Good luck to everyone else who applied!

Hi everyone,
Just got my interview done. The interviwer just asked me two or three questions and started to introduce me about the school for the rest of the hour. Kind of worry about that since I never speak so few words in an interview…

@dalcming Mine was kind of like that. Haha! Except he made me ask him questions to answer.

I hope they think we are good fits so they don’t bother to ask more but tell us about the campus so that we are prepared when enroll LOL.

@dalcming I think so! Now that I think about it, my interviewer said something along the lines of “I hope you get in.” And I guess his talking about Duke really made him nostalgic about it 'cause he told me that he wants to come with me to Duke lol (if I get in, that is).

Yeah. My interviewer also say something like “You will be a good fit in Duke”. He as well told me a lot about his son and daughter since his whole family all attend Duke. Well, I feel like I was interviwing him rather than he interviwing me ;p. He’s a nice guy btw.

Did everyone here have your guidance counselor submit quarter grades yet?

@consanguineous Yes, I had my counselor submit them as soon as I got them.

@consanguineous Yes

For those of you who were not offered an interview, did you receive an email from an alumni association telling you that they were unable to offer you one?

No I did not

@hagzzz I didn’t. Were we supposed to?

If my first trimester grades come out in early december should I still have them submitted or is it too late? Will it hurt if i don’t submit them? My grades dropped a little bit but i still have straight As.

Ok was just asking. I didn’t either. I just saw a thread from a few years ago talking about the email.

@tomzsl “If your school will be unable to provide us with official midterm grades by mid-November, you should request an unofficial progress report to be sent by a school official. A student’s senior year academic work is often a critical component of our review.” If you havnt sent a progress report of grades up to november then send one as soon as possible.
