<p>@AltoLime: You’re going to college next year, don’t be so lazy, and do a little research/homework. There must be only three dozen posts to this thread – read them – that speculate concerning when ED decisions will be released (Duke Undergraduate Admissions’ website indicates 15 December, however recent history suggests it could be a couple days earlier). </p>

<p>@ellisnp: Not ruthless, I hope, but I have served on the Executive Committees of Duke’s Alumni Association and its Annual Fund (among other senior volunteer leadership positions). From these experiences, I really KNOW the standards that are routinely expected for Duke Undergraduates. A few of the “no brainers” are hard, independent work and contributing to assist your classmates. Whenever I observe a kid who is evidently unwilling to do his share – even to the level of reading others’ germane posts – I want to highlight the fact that such values are not esteemed among Dukies (of all ages). </p>
