<p>Oh, and do you guys know if the decision letter pops up right away when you sign into the Student Access portal?
Because I don’t want to be like, “I’ll just log in comfortably since I probably need to click something else afterwards,” but then get shocked (either way).</p>

<p>No I mean like family members or family friends that attended Duke and send in a recommendation </p>

<p>When my friends’ son applied to Duke, the family letter from his uncle (a Duke MBA grad) – did help they said. Her child though had stellar credentials anyway… so, I think it is just one more lever if you are borderline. I think the biggest advantage/lever that a student can use for Duke though is the ED commitment (barring having millions to donate).</p>
