***Duke Class of 2021 Discussion Thread***

wondering the same

I don’t know if that’s true because I got an email from Duke saying that you can check the decision at the application checklist on Wednesday. I got that email too and I find it interesting that at the bottom it says “Go Blue Devils, and welcome!” so maybe it’s a good sign?

Did anyone not get that email?

Did you all already have a onelink ID?

@MedSciBud I didnt

I already had a onelink ID and my email doesn’t say welcome or any of that, at the end it says “As the admissions process comes to a conclusion, I wish you all the best as you prepare for the next step in your education. My staff joins me in thanking you for applying to Duke!”

I didn’t have one before and the email I got starts with: Thank you for your interest in Duke’s OneLink Service!
And ends with: Go Blue Devils, and welcome!
Duke University

Maybe that’s the email for people who didn’t have it and the one I got was for the people who did have a OneLink? Wouldn’t read too much into it personally especially since we’ll know in 2 days

Correct @albionh - the email @LightClay and @bayramf got today was a reminder asking them to setup their onelink ID. The one everyone got last week was announcing the decision release date and time.

Is onelink where we get decisions?

@bayramf - the applicant status portal is where you get the decisions. You login using onelink (or several other ways such as google / facebook etc).

I really don’t think they have the time to add footnotes in everyone’s mail, as indicators xD

i am a deferred ED applicant and still haven’t received either email

@reeves33 maybe because you already set up a One link?

@identification Actually, the University of Michigan EA 2021 thread is way more active - 2,937 posts to date

Can others access their Duke NetID portals? Like using the link Duke provided yesterday and during the Admission process. I have been trying for two days, they’re constantly saying ‘‘applicants.siss.duke.edu took too long to respond.’’

Go to the original email from them (if you saved it) and click on the link from there. For some reason it works that way when I do it, but not when I click on a saved bookmark. I was deferred and haven’t received any emails from them either.

@800math Lol thanks for letting us know you’re a URM, I would’ve actually had some hope.

@MedSciBud I also received this e-mail with and ending saying “Go Blue Devils and welcome” even though I already had a one link ID.

hey did everyone who had not created their one link got the same email, I guess the peeps who received an email saying “Go blue devils” have an indicator of some type, 1330 is not a bad score, anyone here with a lower SAT and

yeah, I had a pretty low SAT: 1410. hopefully Duke looked past that and delved into the rest of my app?? hmm, what do y’all think? do you know anyone who got into Duke with not-so-stellar SAT/ACT scores? although Duke is super competitive so i have very little hope :frowning:
