Deferred. I’ve wanted to go to Duke for my entire life; this is a serious kick in the teeth. Congrats to everyone that got in, enjoy it!

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE ACCEPTED!!
I did not apply to Duke, but I did have several friends who did and just wanted to say one thing.
Everyone of you is a strong applicant, and everone of you earned and deserved to get accepted. This rejection is not a reflection on you. It doesn’t mean you did something wrong. Everyones scores were amazingly high, and everyone has had amazing original life experiences that help to shape who you are. And this rejection doesn’t shape who you are, it doesn’t play any role. And yes, you may not be attending Duke, But you will find someplace that wants you for who you are, and where you want to be. There is no such beauty as where you belong, and you can still do anything you put your mind too. You will still get an amazing education. All that a rejection means is that it wasn’t your lucky day.
Congratulations to those who were accepted!
and all the love to those who were not
I really wish the best of luck to everyone. Do not forget, college is just a temporary thing. Never underestimate yourself due to what some people in an Admissions room said. We are all capable of greatness so let’s get there in our separate but similar paths.
Accepted!

Rejected. Wow, it looks like I really had no chance. But it’s totally cool, I probably saved my parents more than 100 grand since we weren’t getting financial aid. Hopefully I can get a great scholarship at Rutgers or another school. I plan on getting a master’s degree anyways, and I don’t want to get killed with debt. So if you got denied or deferred, this may be more of a blessing than a curse.
Congratulations to everyone who got in! I am applying RD for Duke, do you guys think I have a chance to get in?

Honestly I’m not even mad. As an Indian male engineer I thought I had no chance with my relatively low scores/gpa and lack of ap classes. I’m just happy Duke gave me another chance. I guess numbers aren’t everything! Congrats to everyone who got accepted!!
