<p>I am unfortunately stuck in this situation. Although I know that Duke is the highest rank, I got very little aid. However, NYU gave me 25,000 per yr. I also received nothing from cornell. Which school do you guys think I should select? Money is unfortunately an issue as I do not want my parents to take any additional financial responsibilities on my part. I also plan on going to med school. Thanks!</p>

<p>Cornell and Duke are basically equal in quality/prestige, but if they didn't give you money, definitely go to NYU, even though it's a significant step down. Try to get some money from Cornell/Duke.</p>

<p>yea I appealed my financial aid package for duke, and wrote a letter to cornell requesting financial aid. Yeh NYU sounds appealing and I like the city!

<p>Yeah Ill ammend my earlier post- NYU is less prestigious (or whatever) than Cornell and Duke, but it's still an awesome school and being in the city is a major major plus, so just go for that. I think NYC offers an education in itself, which Cornell and Duke, being in more rural settings, just can't offer.</p>
