When do we think it will be?

last year, it fell around march 23rd or 24th. it will be interesting to see if it falls around the same time this year as well.

Actually last year it was on March 26th at 5 or 6pm. I forget which because Northwestern and Duke both released their decisions within an hour of each other. Expect it around the same time.

I think it’s 6pm, or at least it was for my year and I believe that’s what they usually do

I cannot take any more waiting! Does anyone know how far in advance they tell you decisions come out? Is it the day of or a day before?

So what date is it exactly?

They emailed the ED pins/passwords a few days ago, I’m not exactly sure. but it is typically the last thursday of march which is the 25th.

I assume you mean the regular decision pins/passwords; although my son has not received his as yet.

no, I was deferred ED, they emailed the passwords for that a few days before the decisions

^mtcomposer - sorry, I guess “a few days ago” was what confused me.

SO…you received a pin/password email in late January a few days before your ED decision was posted?

wow thats before ivy d-day

some body, possibly a damn liar, told me it was being released today since it kinda starts the begining of late march? please some one clarify

^It isn’t today, don’t worry. Duke won’t surprise you. They’ll send you an e-mail containing the PIN with which you can check your decision a few days before the decision itself. At that point, they’ll make the decision date/time clear. In case you were curious, this is where the decisions will be released (although right now they still reflect ED dates and times):

thank u srrinath

srrinath is right
and if you are worried about seeing ur decision when u log in, don’t be
there’ll be a link, and a pop up will show the online version of the letter which will tell u ur admissions decision

good luck!!
i’m a fellow deferred duke candidate

hey i have something peculiar.

I did not get the PIN by e-mail, and when i tried searching for lost PIN through the applyyourself website, i get the PIN from my Columbia application.

And when i logon with it, I get a “not submitted” notification.

Whats happened?

I couldn’t say for sure but Columbia and Duke share a very similar address (replace the ‘duke’ in the URL with ‘COL’ and you get to the Columbia admissions page). I’m guessing that the PIN from your Columbia application is recognized by the common platform both colleges share but it is not linked to your Duke application which is probably being processed under a different ID/PIN at this point. If you’re an RD applicant, you won’t have your PIN yet and probably will not until several days before decisions are actually out. Don’t lose sleep over it just yet.

So was it the 23, 24, or 26th last year?

ohhh, it hasn’t been sent out?

great, thats the answer i needed, thank you so much for the help! :D
