Hello, I am considering applying to Duke early decision. I visited recently and absolutely loved it. Almost everything about it was perfect for me, the size, the academics, the location, the campus, the school spirit, etc. I know that I would be happy to go there, but the problem is whether it is worth applying ED. Here are my stats and things of that nature

Teacher recommendations should be good, both by teachers who write very well.
I know that it may seem like a like a long shot to apply to Duke, but it does seem that they let in a lot more people ED (24%) as opposed to normal (9%) so it seems this would be my best shot. The only other school that I am thinking about apply to ED is wake, but I didn’t fall in love with wake as much as i did Duke (dont get me wrong I liked wake but duke was amazing). So my question is, is it worth applying to Duke early, do I have any chance? Should I swallow my pride and go with the safer bet of Wake early. I feel because Wake has ED 2 I could always just do that if ED to duke and EA other places doesn’t pan out. Let me know what you think.
