What's a ps

and also have any of u guys been interviewed

ps= personal statment = the larger essay you write
No, I haven't been interviewed by a Duke Alumni.

i am waiting to be contacted about interviews

o ok ty
very much

oh man...
I was contacted today by an alumni interviewer... and I set up an interview for 1:00 tomorrow! I'm not so nervous because he said it was just a get-together to get to know me, but I still need to think about what I want to say. I'm afraid he'll ask me a question that I can't answer right away. Any advice?

Just take a deep breath and be yourself. He is going to be asking questions about you and, although it sounds corny, who knows you better than yourself?

how can we get interviewed and should we if we are applying ed and have not yet been contacted

the thing i read said that they would contact you.. so.. i dunno besides that.

think about what to ask them. when they ask you if you have any questions, that's not really a question, it's a DEMAND. you MUST ask them at least a couple good, thoughtful, not-obvious questions to show your true interest and understanding of duke (granted they know that you THINK you are truly interested in duke because obviously you applied ed)

Hey everyone, I had my interview today. I think it went very well; the interviewer was a graduate in '62 and lives five minutes away from me. I ended up asking him about dorm life and the percentage of undergrads accepted to graduate school, neither of which he knew an exact answer to because of all the changes the school has gone through since he went there. I liked that Duke had sent him the first section of my application because he was able to form questions before I went other than the generic "why choose Duke" questions. He seems optimistic about my getting in, which is exactly what I need right now as I am finishing up my application. Good luck to everyone with their interviews if they have them!

Everybody finish their application? I know im still working on my freakin essays =)

justg stated them friday lol

Sent on Friday.

1.5 months left, guys!
