Duke ED 2025

I saw that too but I don’t think its updated because it also says applications are due November 1st. It’s also why I think decisions are coming out the 17th at the earliest, because they came out on the 19th last year and the applications were turned in sooner.

I thought decisions were announced on December 12th last year? That’s what a previous thread from last year said.

Oop, you’re probably right, I saw 19 and thought the date but that literally could have been the year.

You’re good!

yeah they’ve come out on the second thursday of the month pretty consistently for the last several years. i’m thinking dec 17th because of the deadline extension but i’m praying dec 10th because i just want to know now lol

hi everyone! reading this thread is making me severely doubt my chances of getting in. bummer…

here’s hoping that all the stuff in my application, in context of my chronic illnesses and charitable work i’ve done for other people with my illness, can carry me to durham! i wasn’t able to send an act or sat score so that probably won’t happen. nothing wrong with positive thinking though!

you sound like a strong person! duke would be lucky to have you. as for the test scores, they said around 40% of ED applicants did not submit test scores. so don’t worry! you’re in the same boat as many other applicants this year

agreed with above. the dean of duke also said something a few months back about trying to keep the playing field level and accepting around half of the class test optional. of course they didn’t know then how many people would submit test scores but your lack of a test score will not be the end all be all for you

somehow I heard in one seminar that the decision would come out on 12/21

i hope that’s not true because that’s the very last day of “mid-December,” and it would suck if they gave us decisions on the very last day possible.

yeah also they’ve never sent decisions out after the 15th (i think)

I have seen so many dates thrown out there, I don’t know what to believe. I’m going to wait for them to email and let us know the date.

Last year D20 received her ED results on Thursday, December 12th. Expect this year will be the week of December 14th.

Even though D took a gap year, could not be more impressed with Duke’s leadership during COVID.

Good luck to you all!

What is your daughter doing her gap year?

Working almost full time as a restaurant server to save money for college; taking two online classes for “fun” at local CC (Econ and Spanish); and will do some European travel next spring if conditions warrant it.

She’s staying busy. I think she made a great decision to take a gap year. She wants the full Duke undergrad experience for 4 years and this year would have been underwhelming.

Hi, all. I went on my checklist today to see if all my idoc documents had been processed, and I also saw that my final transcript had disappeared from the application checklist like many others. Beyond that, my checklist also says that they are awaiting my midyear report, but my semester ends in January. Was wondering if anyone else’s application says that too. Thank you!

I think you can just send them when your semester ends!

Also, has anyone else stopped receiving emails from Duke? I got so many before the deadline and one after I submitted the application and one for financial aid, but other than that none?

I haven’t gotten any emails recently either. I’m sure they’ll send one out soon regarding the day decision are released.
