Anyone anxious with other students getting their decisions already? Someone from my school got into Wharton today… happy for him but so jealous that he doesn’t have to worry about college apps anymore. Besides that, a Wharton rejection, 1 Columbia rejection/1 deferral, and a cornell rejection so far for our school…

YES. I’m hearing various shouts of joy from my friends who were admitted to Yale, Stanford, and UPenn. My mind is slowly dying here… although I keep telling myself to think clearly and to not worry too much about it since this isn’t the only school I’m applying to.

i know how you guys feel! so many kids from my school have heard back from columbia, cornell, stanford, upenn, and washington university this week! i’m so jealous that they all already know. i want nothing more than to not have to worry about any more applications and just be done with the whole process.

yeah, lots of rejections at my school is definitely starting to scare me even more

My school is full of apathetic students…they all applied to state schools because they didn’t want to do the essays.

But my best friend was deferred at Stanford…ouch. It’s making everything harder…

Man all my friends are getting their letters from Cornell Stanford and Dartmouth back and it doesn’t look good… i go to great neck south so do you think the recent blowup about the SAT scandal could potentially be the reason for rejection? so scared for wednesday :/

I know this is for ED, but I applied RD and had a quick question.

I know Duke sends out BSAI invitations to its minority applicants which is a stand-in for a “likely letter”, during the RD round.

I know BSAI stands for Black Student Alliance Invitational.

But I was wondering, do they send these invitations only to black students or also other minorities? I am Native American and I was wondering if they would send me on as well?

You know how everyone refers to people who do “odd” or “rare” extracurriculars as “oboe-players?”

I laugh every time I hear it.
Because I’m actually an oboist myself. 8D

@LivetheLife
definitely. I’ve been hearing lots of good news from kids who applied to Columbia, Stanford, Cornell, and Northwestern. All this information is doing is pressuring me even more than I already am :(

ahhhhh so nervous D:

How shall I wait all these days until wed?!?!?!

Really regretting not applying ED Duke, but thought it was too risky financially. Anyway, good luck everyone! If I’m fortunate enough to make it through RD, I hope to join those accepted on Wednesday.

What will you do after you get your admission decision?
Me - sleep it off.

Good luck guys! I hope this isn’t a bloodbath like Stanford REA decisions.

well last night was possibly the worst night of sleep i’ve gotten in the past year. I just couldn’t stop thinking about Wednesday! and to make matters worse I had multiple dreams where the day was Monday, Tuesday, and …Wednesday.

A couple acceptances on my fb feed (Northwestern, Columbia, Stanford, Caltech, UPenn, and Georgetown) have gotten me all pumped up for ours! I just don’t know how to get my mind off of Duke and then start studying for midterms tmrw :(

Can someone please tell me that I’m not gonna get in. It’s duke, and my hopes are way to high.

^Didn’t you say your parent worked there? That will help a lot…

Ba dum dum dum… 3,655 minutes left guys!

it sounds so long when you put it in minutes. exactly 72 hours :O

Oh **** people. I’m already hyperventilating.

Good luck all of you guys. Just remember that if everything doesn’t work out… God has a different plan for ya. Or maybe you’ll even get in during the regular process? Who knows? Just remember that you are all unique in your own way. If you get rejected/deferred/accepted, it has nothing to do with who YOU are. Good luck and God bless all of you guys/girls.
