I have my interview on Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Wondering if we will hear anything from Duke Financial Office about what to file other than what is on the self service web site for applicants.

Interview on Saturday Morning!!! And yes the Financial Aid office sent me an email the other day

Sent from my SPH-M580 using CC App

I really enjoyed my interview. It wasn’t awkward at all! We just talked for the whole time.

I believe I blew my interview. But I’ve read of those who say that they botched theirs and still got in.

what did you do to mess it up?

I had my interview last week. My interviewer is the sweetest old woman. She’s from the class of '61 and her husband is from the class of '58. We had a nice half hour interview. She ask quite a few questions, but she loved me. She invited me over to her house for lunch with her husband!

Interviewer didn’t ask questions I believed to be particularly relevant, like how I would make friends and how many questions I would bug the professor with. I had a bunch of answers, good answers, prepared but the questions to prompt them were never asked. I was expecting questions that would help him understand my unique qualities, like “What’s your favorite movie and why?” or “Favorite book?”
Asked about interests outside school and I had three prepared, but was only able to discuss one.

Hi - what does it mean if you didn’t request an interview but a local Duke alum emailed and asked to interview you? Is this good news or bad news? … ED applicant

Where else are y’all applying to?

@eevotze: You don’t request interviews for ED at Duke. If you turned in either the Common App or the Duke Supplement by Oct. 19, you were automatically considered for an interview. If you don’t want it, just let them know. It won’t hurt your chances.

Here is last years ED stats thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/duke-university/1042708-official-duke-2015-ed-results-thread.html

Too bad 500 more Studemts applied ED though

so just out of curiosity, how many ED’d pratt vs. trinity?

and i know i should probably start, but is anyone else finding it impossible to fill out applications to any other schools until they hear back from duke?

Trinity. What about you?

And ya, pretty much. Especially if it’s not on the common app or requires a long supplement haha

Trinity. And couldn’t agree more.

Anyone have a problem with items not showing up on your to do list? We have sent the tax returns twice, and the 1st quarter grades once, and neither are showing as received…very frustrating and worrisome!!!

also trinity and i thought i was the only one!!! i’ve turned in the common app for 2 other schools and im waiting to hear from duke before i turn in more but i cant bring myself to do any other supplements!! all my friends that are applying regular to other schools are almost done with all their apps and im only completed the duke one… :)

SouthFloridaMom, I had the opposite experience. Tax info was checked off within five days of mailing them and the 1st quarter grades were mailed last Wednesday and were checked off today.

Fauster, now I am more worried! I will have to call in the morning…thanks for your reply

We have also had no problems with items being checked off. Within days of items being sent they were marked as received. :)
