I got accepted to Pratt, how do you actually get the GroupMe link?
^^^ same here
Does anyone know if they send a welcome packet or anything in the regular mail?
how did you get access to it in the first place lol?
It’s on the applyingtocollege subreddit somewhere. I wish I could post it here, a lot of the athletic recruits (including one basketball player) are in it.
A little late, but accepted!!
I applied to Pratt but got deferred I’ll be going crazy until April!
@madp01 same
is there a duke accepted students facebook group?
@sanjanagupta1 I’ve heard there is one but it isn’t open yet, so i really don’t know.
Are these all early decision folks that got your acceptance notifications? OOS (not early decision) waiting it out…chances? 35 ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, Captain D1 volleyball, 12 APs with top scores so far, hundreds of service (medical) hours…
Does anyone know how were actually deferred?
903 kids
Did anyone get a postcard telling them to apply for the global programs? Correction…did anyone who was rejected get that postcard? My daughter was rejected, yet we got a postcard today saying that as a Duke student, she should apply for these programs. I’m so confused. I’m sure the post card was a mistake, but maybe the rejection was a mistake? Ugh. They are closed today, already tried to call.
@jessh2os I was deferred and did not receive that postcard, but my friend who was rejected did receive it today. Can you let me know what Duke says about it? It appears to be a mistake, but I hope my friend does get in because he worked very hard in school and on his extracurricular activities
Yes I was rejected and recieved as well. That is just encouraging students to apply. We recieved by mistake. Big oof on their part, not cool of them.
Rubbing salt in the wound. I’m going to call them today.
My daughter received the post card and an electronic email with an apology from Admissions. I still submitted a reply back to the email notification declaring our confusion and disappointment. My daughter thought there was indeed a mixup with her denial and was anticipating Regular Decision consideration.
