I’ve been patiently waiting for this thread to get more active.
Good luck all!
Am I the only that didn’t have the actual transfer essay show up on their Coalition App? The one that’s 600 words…
Good luck to everyone! As we all finish applying, I had a quick question about interviews. Due to the coronavirus situation will they still be conducting them or will they be discontinued for the year?
@mkmk29 not sure about interviews. If they are still offering them I assume they would be virtual. Received an email earlier, “Your Duke Transfer Application”, and got a little excited but pretty sure it was standard. Talks about how COVID-19 may affect the process, says self-reported testing and grades are now acceptable for transfers but nothing about interviews.
@mkmk29 on Duke’s website is says “Alumni interviews are not part of the transfer application process” so it doesn’t look like they’re doing them anymore for transfers
Got it. But if they were to give interviews, would you be emailed about it or would you have to independently sign up?
Wanted to give a quick heads up to everyone, if you aren’t doing so make it a point to regularly check your portal for missing items. Had different things added as incomplete a couple times in the last few weeks. Both admissions and financial aid seemed to appreciate the proactive approach rather than waiting and had everything completed within a day.
@SatanFlower69 do you think I should give them a call on Monday if it shows my college report is still missing but that everything else is checked off?
@dunnowheretogo you could certainly call but in my experience email works best. If someone lets you know an item will be taken care of over the phone double check that it was complete within 2 business days.
Who else is already getting nervous
Not really nervous. Was rejected by UNC today. Can’t see getting rejected there but accepted to Duke. Seems highly unlikely so calmly resigned to attending a UC.
But for those of you anxiously waiting its probably going to be awhile. Duke appears to release transfer decisions beginning of May.
@SatanFlower69 I wouldn’t be down and out yet. This is such a random process that you never know
@dunnowheretogo thanks
Any junior transfers here?
Anyone get an interview request? I didn’t think they were doing them but someone just reached out to me.
@dunnowheretogo i got one too. was kinda confused. if you don’t mind, you can pm me so we can talk about it more
