Duke's Froshlife event is one of America's premier college/university digital movie festivals and is a signature event in each class' freshman experience. Now entering its fifth year, Froshlife has garnered regional and national media attention by bringing first-year Duke students together with video cameras and laptops to produce a story all about their first year at the Durham, N.C. university - in eight minutes or less. After an intensive, TWO-WEEK production period in January, students pack Duke's Richard White Auditorium to witness the "world premiere" of the movies, which are judged by a panel of celebrities that frequently includes Duke's president or provost. Almost a quarter of each year's 1,600 freshmen participate in Froshlife as directors, crew, actors, or premiere-night attendees, making Froshlife one of the most inclusive and visible events that Duke students will experience at any time in their college career.

The 2006 one is so cute!!!!!!!

That one is very good. I believe sweet and sour productions (makers of that video) is also making an orientation video for the class of 2011.

For CLASS of 2011 DUKIES who are applying to Focus, please check out one of the newest clusters debuting this Fall, which is based on an evolving approach to health care that is personalized, predictive, preventative & participatory. It's known as "Prospective Health Care" or "PHC" for short.

The Center for Research on Prospective Health Care at Duke spearheaded developing this cluster & we are 100% dedicated to Duke undergrads, which is why we founded the Duke undergrad PHC Club in 2005. So when you join this cluster, you have an immediate link to the Center & the Club.

Students with diverse interests are encouraged to apply. Our core courses are policy, history, psychology & immunology based.
