<p>Would it be stupid to transfer to Duke from Georgetown University (I'm in the college)?
Let's just say I get in hypothetically, of course.

I ruled out Government as a major at Georgetown.</p>
<p>It would not be stupid if your transferring involves some reasons. If you just choose to transfer for no reason, then yes it is stupid.</p>
<p>Why would you want to go to Duke?</p>
<p>If you look at the Barnard forums, somebody there has a sister who transferred from Stanford to Georgetown SFS - perhaps to make a lifestyle switch. I don’t think you’ll be doing a stupid thing if you have good reasons.</p>
