Those APs would help and with an improved SAT in the 2200+ territory, you would be able to significantly raise your stock at these schools. ECs are good but a little dry, I might try another club or two, and definitely try to spice them up more with your interests. What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you play guitar for a band? Just something else to really give a window into your personal interests and ambitions. Good Luck!
Hi I’m a Duke alum. Your SAT scores are too low for Duke. Sometimes they admit students with scores as low as yours, but these students will have a hook. If you are good enough in XC or baseball to get the coach’s attention then you might be a viable candidate.
Forgot to add that i Also did a a Surgical and Biomedical Research at Boston Latin Institute and I did a 4 week summer internship at Tufts Medical Center
Like @sgopal2, I’m also a Duke alumnus and an Undergraduate Admissions interviewer. Your chances for Duke are poor, unless your SAT I aggregate score improves by roughly 200 points. I strongly suggest your re-take the SAT I examination AFTER DILIGENTLY PREPARATION (you also may wish to study hard for and to take the ACT (plus writing) examination). Duke does not permit ScoreChoice or super-scoring, however, Duke evaluates your best SAT I or ACT (with writing) results (and you are REQUIRED to submit ALL SAT I and II results or ALL ACT scores).
With regard to “chancing” and based on your current record:
Duke and Brown - reach
Georgetown - low reach
USC - hgh match
