@LolissAantya thats what I want to know too. I’m mad that info site is not working
Accepted with a scholarship as well!!
Congrats to all you students - well done! This looks like an amazing program.
I was hoping to get a feel for just how competitive the program is. Would you all be willing to share your test scores / APs, / GPAs within the thread? I am thinking about for my son as well. Many thanks and good luck to all, MenloParent
Was anyone rejected or waitlisted? Very curious about the acceptance rate.
They got +500 applications from international students, and they could only admit around 50. It may look like they have a high acceptance rate on this thread, but I think most of us on here were competitive applicants.
are the housing and dining included ?
Accepted with $53000 aid i dont think the housing and dining is included. They gave aid for tuition only which means we still have to pay around $12000 during years in China and $20000 in USA
It’s hard to judge the acceptance rate because even though there are only 50 spots for international students they probably accepted a lot more than that, knowing that many people who were accepted wouldn’t end up going (like me)
@Menloparent I dont have AP/IB scores but had a 1440 on the SAT Reasoning (700 EBRW/ 740 Math) and a 21/24 on the SAT Essay.
I think I’m one of the weaker applicants in DKU’s pool though. The only reason I think I got in was because I had a great interview after I got shortlisted.
Also maybe ECs helped my cause
Yes they probably accepted max 100 people usually the yield rate is 80%
Also btw, for those who have been accepted, please join the unofficial facebook group Duke Kunshan University Class of 2022
Hey guys!
An admitted student here from Central Asia.
Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!
So is 53k the max amount they can provide?
@galchonok23 it is my understanding that they are only providing aid for tuition, not for living expenses
Accepted! Does anyone know how much it costs per year to attend?
54k
Is that just tuition?
yes
Has anyone gotten more than the full tuition waiver?
I got a scholarship of 13250USD, does that mean i have to pay 52k?
@StressedMaya Hi - I got that scholarship too, and it seems that amount is per SEMESTER, meaning that it’s actually double that amount. At least that’s what I gathered from reading the email that I got.
