Duke Lacrosse Players face gang rape allegations

<p>For those who don't normally go to the Parents Cafe, I suggest that you read the thread about what is going on at Duke (a black exotic dancer college student alleges that she was gang raped, strangled, beaten and robbed by 3 lacrosse players during a party). </p>

<p>Thanks, NSM. Frankly, I'd been avoiding the thread but I ducked in and read a few dozen posts and found it worthwhile to do so.</p>

Not sure we need multiple threads. Obviously foks are reading the Cafe thread based on the number of views.</p>

<p>I put the thread up to send people to the Cafe to read and post there, not to start a competing thread here. Not everyone on Parents' Forum reads the Parents Cafe, which often has comparably trivial issues, not an issue like an alleged gang rape possibly involving a lacrosse team at a top 5 university.</p>

<p>1SM, NSM has it right: if not for the post here, I might not have ducked in to read the thread more fully. Actually, I'd made one attempt before but the first post I read made me bail right back out.</p>

<p>Very , very troubling to me as a parent & someone who is concerned about our future leaders. Thanks for reposting this--i had been avoiding the thread but it was worth reading & pondering. This certainl shows a very ugly side of college sports.</p>
