<p>Duke, Northwestern, or Rice?</p>

<p>Some notes I’ve made:</p>

<p>Duke:</p>

<p>Pros:
• Best ranking, most selective.
• Beautiful campus.
• Music minor option.</p>

<p>Cons:
• Little Race/Class Interaction
• Town-Gown Relations Are Strained
• Jock School</p>

<p>Northwestern:</p>

<p>Pros:
• ISP program
• City, close to home</p>

<p>Cons:
• Town-Gown Relations Are Strained
• Bad weather</p>

<p>Rice:</p>

<p>Pros:
• No Loans, merit scholarships
• Town-Gown Relations Are Great
• Best Quality Of Life
• Lots of Race/Class Interaction
• 5:1 student ratio
• Excellent music facilities</p>

<p>Cons:
• Not sure of any blatant ones yet…</p>

<p>I don't know for sure what I want to study yet...but I would like to minor in music.</p>

<p>Seeing as how you have found no cons for rice, why not rice then?</p>

<p>Duke is not as much a jock school as everyone thinks it is, although I can think of other cons to replace that one. And never base your decisions based on rankings... some schools are placed higher than others due to political reasons, not because of their sheer prowess.</p>

<p>How can you even ask? I think it's obvious that you should attend Rice. They have a great music department and they're giving you merit scholarship! The atmosphere sounds the most suitable for you.</p>
